Baked Beans With Maple Syrup

  1. Soak navy beans overnight covered with water.
  2. Cook in morning for about 25 minutes on low.
  3. Drain; put in either crock-pot or oven pot.
  4. Mix all ingredients except water and pour over beans. Try to cover the salt pork pieces.
  5. Pour boiling water in and cover; stir slightly.
  6. If cooking in oven pot, cook in a 300u0b0 oven for 4 to 6 hours.
  7. If using crock-pot cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  8. Serve with French bread.
