Yummy Jello Squares

  1. Combine Jell-O in hot water, then add cold water in 9 x 13-inch dish.
  2. Refrigerate until partially set.
  3. Add crushed and drained pineapple and bananas.
  4. Return to refrigerator.
  5. Cook pineapple juice, sugar and beaten egg, 4 to 5 minutes, until thick.
  6. Remove from heat and add cream cheese.
  7. Beat until smooth.
  8. Set aside to cool, about 20 minutes.
  9. Fold in the Cool Whip and pour over Jell-O.
  10. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
  11. Refrigerate until set. Cut in squares.
