Pumpkin Dessert Ring

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease well a 2 quart ring mold.
  3. Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
  4. Add shortening, water, nuts, raisins, and pumpkin.
  5. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed with mixer or give 300 vigorous strokes by hand.
  6. Scrape bowl constantly.
  7. Add egg.
  8. Beat 2 more minutes, scraping bowl constantly.
  9. Pour into prepared mold.
  10. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  11. Serve warm with fluffy hard sauce, lemon sauce, or whipped cream.
  12. Yield:
  13. 8 portions.
