Dark Fruit Cake

  1. Mix butter and sugar.
  2. Mix all fruit with all flour.
  3. Add the fruit and flour mixture to butter mixture.
  4. Add eggs, then add spices.
  5. Pour mixture into tube pans that have been greased and lined with brown paper.
  6. Garnish cakes before cooking with pineapple (glazed) and cherries (glazed).
  7. Cook about 2 1/2 to 3 hours at 250u0b0.
  8. Put pan of water under the cakes in the oven for moisture.
  9. Makes two cakes.
