Green Bean Casserole
- 1 1/2 tsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3 - 4 tsp. dry ranch-style dressing mix
- 1 1/4 lb. fresh green beans (cooked until crisp tender)
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- To make white sauce, melt butter in saucepan.
- Stir in flour and cook 1-2 minutes stirring constantly.
- Whish in milk and bring to a boil.
- Whisk constantly for 1-2 minutes until thick.
- Stir in dressing mix and white pepper and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Spray skillet with nonstick Pam.
- Heat and add onion and garlic (minced).
- Cook for 2-3 minutes and set aside.
- Add mushrooms to onion mixture and cook additional 5 minutes.
- Combine mixture to green beans and add white sauce in casserole dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cover mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes.
