Turkey Frame Soup

  1. Break turkey frame or cut in half with
  2. kitchen shears; place in large Dutch oven with water, onion and
  3. salt.
  4. Bring to boiling;
  5. reduce heat.
  6. Cover;
  7. simmer for 1
  8. 1/2
  9. hours. Remove turkey frame; when cold enough to handle, cut
  10. off meat and coarsely
  11. chop.
  12. Discard
  13. bones.
  14. Strain
  15. broth;
  16. discard solids. Return
  17. broth
  18. to
  19. Dutch oven.
  20. Stir in cut up turkey meat, undrained
  21. tomatoes,
  22. bouillon granules, oregano, thyme and pepper.
  23. Stir
  24. in
  25. fresh
  26. vegetables.
  27. Bring
  28. to
  29. boiling; reduce heat.
  30. Cover;
  31. simmer for 45 minutes.
  32. Stir in uncooked noodles; simmer,
  33. uncovered,
  34. 8 to 10 minutes or until noodles are done. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  35. Serves 10.
