Savory Crescent Chicken Squares
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 2 c. cooked, cubed chicken
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. chopped chives or onion
- 1 Tbsp. chopped pimento (optional)
- 1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated quick crescent or Italian flavor crescent dinner rolls
- 1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 3/4 c. seasoned croutons, crushed
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In medium bowl, blend cream cheese and margarine until smooth.
- Add next six ingredients; mix well. Separate crescent dough into 4 triangles; firmly press perforations to seal.
- Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto center of each rectangle.
- Pull four corners of dough onto top center of mixture, twist slightly and seal edges.
- Brush tops with margarine; dip into crouton crumbs.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Makes 4 sandwiches.
