Tangy Twist Patty Melt
- 1 loaf rye bread
- 6 or 7 ground beef patties
- 1 medium size onion, sliced
- 10 slices white American cheese
- 10 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
- Italian dressing seasoning
- 2 sticks margarine
- With stove on medium/high temperature, place frying pan or griddle iron on stove top.
- Grease pan or griddle with one bottle cap full vegetable oil.
- Cook ground beef patty as desired.
- While cooking patties, saut onions.
- In microwaveable dish, melt margarine; add Italian seasoning.
- Brush this mixture on outside of bread slices with a basting brush.
- Place bread, brushed side down on griddle to brown.
- While patties are cooking, place two slices of cheese on top.
- Add onions.
- With spatula, add patty between toasted bread.
- Slice diagonally.
- ENJOY.
