Orange Sugar Cookies
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. grated orange peel
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 c. Egg Beaters 99% real egg product
- In small bowl, combine flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat margarine, 3/4 cup sugar, orange peel and vanilla until creamy.
- Add egg product; beat for 1 minute.
- Gradually stir in flour.
- Mix until blended.
- Chill dough for 1 hour.
- Shape dough into 42 (3/4-inch) balls; roll in remaining sugar.
- Place 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets at 375u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light browned.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Wrap and store at room temperature for up to 4 days.
- Makes 42.
- Serving:
- 1 cookie.
