Lasagna - Sauceless
- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 lb. bulk Italian sausage
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/2 clove garlic or 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. mixed Italian spices
- 2 small cans tomato paste
- 1 pkg. lasagna (about 6)
- 1 carton Ricotta cheese
- grated Parmesan cheese
- Brown ground beef, sausage and onion in skillet.
- Pour off excess fat.
- Add garlic, mushroom pieces, bay leaf, salt, pepper, spices and tomato paste.
- Rinse each tomato paste can with 3 tablespoons water; stir into meat mixture.
- Simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cook lasagna according to package directions.
- Alternate layers of lasagna, meat sauce, Ricotta, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses in greased oblong baking dish. Repeat layers.
- Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 45 minutes.
