Vera'S Italian Hoagie Dip
- 1/2 lb sliced salami (ripped or cut into bite size pieces)
- 1/2 lb sliced ham (ripped or cut into bite size pieces)
- 1/2 lb sliced mortadella (ripped or cut into bite size pieces)
- 1/2 lb sliced capicola (ripped or cut into bite size pieces)
- 1 lb sliced American cheese (ripped or cut into bite size pieces)
- 2 cups of hellman's mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 white onion (chopped)
- 1/2 head iceberg lettuce (shredded)
- 2 tomatoes (diced)
- 12 hoagie rolls (cut or torn into very small pieces for dipping)
- Combine all of the meat and cheese into a large bowl and mix well.
- In a seperate bowl combine the mayo and oregano and mix well.
- Then add the mayo mixture to the meats and cheese add the onion and combine all together until well mixed.
- Chill for at least one hour.
- before serving add lettuce and tomatoes all over the top of the dip.
