Paul'S Spaghetti Sauce
- 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 large can whole tomatoes, cut up (undrained)
- 1 pkg. spaghetti
- Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. fennel seed (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. basil leaves
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. thyme leaves
- 1/8 tsp. oregano
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper
- Combine
- first eight ingredients; mix well.
- Shape into meatballs and brown in oil.
- Add remaining ingredients, except spaghetti and cheese.
- Boil and reduce heat to simmer for 4 to 6 hours covered.
- Stir occasionally.terves 4 to 6 (double or triple ingredients, if necessary).
