Double Chocolate Crumble Bars
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. tiny marshmallows
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces (1 c.)
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 1 1/2 c. crisp rice cereal
- In a large mixer bowl, cream sugar and butter or margarine together thoroughly.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Stir together flour, chopped nuts, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
- Stir into egg mixture.
- Spread in bottom of a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
- Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until cookies test done.
- Sprinkle the marshmallows evenly atop; bake 3 minutes more.
- Cool.
