Elegant Turkey Casserole Almondine
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 2 c. soyameat, drained
- 1 c. coarse bread crumbs
- 2 cans mushroom soup
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 4 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- In a large skillet, saute onions and mushrooms in margarine. Stir in almonds and mushroom soup, soyameat, seasoning and sour cream.
- Pour mixture into pastry.
- Fold pastry from the pan sides over filling, making a small rolled crust completely around the casserole.
- In a small bowl, toss bread crumbs with melted margarine, sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
- Bake at 425u0b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Serves 8.
