Sausage And Egg Puff
- 1 lb. ground hot sausage
- 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 2/3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 slices white bread
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 drop Tabasco sauce or to taste
- Butter bread and cut into small cubes.
- Brown sausage in skillet, making sure there are no large lumps.
- Drain.
- In 2-quart casserole, layer sausage, bread and cheese.
- In a bowl, beat eggs with milk, Tabasco sauce, salt, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Pour mixture over sausage, bread and cheese. Cover and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.
- Remove 1 hour before cooking.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0 and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes or until firm and golden on top. Serves 8.
- Make a day ahead.
