Deep-Dish Southwestern Pizza
- 2 1/2 c. biscuit baking mix
- 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, drained
- 2 tsp. beef flavor instant bouillon or cubes
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- chopped tomatoes
- shredded lettuce
- Heat oven to 425u0b0.
- Combine biscuit mix, cornmeal, water and butter in medium bowl.
- Mix well.
- Pat dough on bottom and up sides of greased 15 x 10-inch baking pan.
- Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Brown meat with onion in large skillet and pour off fat.
- Add tomato sauce, chilies, bouillon, chili powder and cumin.
- Cook and stir until bouillon dissolves.
