Chili Tacos
- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 3/4 c. refried beans
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. cumin seed
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 (5.8 oz.) can corn or 10 oz. frozen corn
- 2 to 3 drops hot pepper sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- pita bread
- Brown ground beef.
- Add green pepper, onion and garlic.
- Cook over medium heat until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat and liquid.
- Stir in seasonings, corn, hot pepper sauce, tomato sauce and refried beans.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Stir 2 or 3 times.
- Serve with chips as a dip, or fill pita pockets and eat as a sandwich.
