Goulash(Steelworkers Hungarian Beef)

  1. Heat oil in Dutch oven.
  2. Saute onions until golden.
  3. Add meat; brown lightly.
  4. Add remaining ingredients except for the cornstarch and water.
  5. Cover; simmer slowly for 1 1/2 to 3 hours until meat is tender.
  6. Skim off fat.
  7. Mix cornstarch and water; stir into meat gravy mixture.
  8. Bring to a boil, still stirring. Stir while it boils, 2 minutes.
  9. Serve with buttered noodles. Makes 6 servings.
