Cookie Pie
- 1 pkg. Pillsbury sugar cookie dough mix (in dairy case)
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
- 1 c. fresh strawberry slices
- 1 c. fresh kiwi slices
- 1 c. fresh blueberries
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 4 Tbsp. warm water
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. peeled, diced apples
- 1/4 c. chopped nuts
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Mix in egg.
- Add flour, soda mixture, spices and salt.
- Mix in apples and nuts.
- Put in a greased, deep 8 or 9-inch pie pan.
- Bake in moderate oven at 350u0b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
- Cut in wedges to serve.
- Can be served warm or cold and with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
- I like it warm.
