My Favorite Cookies(Dog Biscuits)
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. white flour
- 3/4 c. nonfat dry milk
- 1/2 c. raw quick cooking oats (not instant)
- 1/4 c. cornmeal
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. instant chicken or beef bouillon granules
- 1/2 c. hot water
- Combine flours, milk powder, oats, cornmeal and sugar.
- Cut in shortening and stir in egg. Dissolve bouillon in water.
- Pour into flour mixture and stir to moisten.
- Knead with dough hook or on floured board by hand. Roll into log and slice 1/4-inch thick or less.
- Vary size of slice to suit size of dog.
- Place on lightly greased baking sheet and bake at 325u0b0 for 40 to 50 minutes until brown and dry.
- Cool on rack. Store airtight.
