60 Minute Pan Dinner Rolls
- 4 3/4 to 5 1/2 c. flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 pkg. (4 1/2 tsp.) RapidRise yeast
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. water
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. margarine or butter
- 1 egg
- In a large bowl, mix 3 cups flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt.
- Heat milk, water and margarine until warm (120u0b0 to 130u0b0).
- Mix into dry ingredients.
- Add egg and enough flour to make a soft dough.
- Knead on floured surface until smooth, about 8 minutes.
- Cover; let rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide dough in half. Roll each half to fit two greased 8 or 9-inch square pans.
- Place in pans.
- With sharp knife, cut dough in each pan into 16 rolls; cover.
- Let rise in warm place until double, about 20 minutes. Dust tops with 1 tablespoon flour.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 15 minutes or until done.
- Makes 32.
