Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies

  1. In large bowl stir together flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and soda.
  2. In mixer bowl beat together butter and sugar on low speed of electric mixer until fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to cream mixture; beat until well blended.
  5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
  6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Press down center of dough with thumb.
  8. Drain cherries and reserve juice.
  9. Place a cherry in center of each cookie.
  10. In saucepan, combine chocolate chips and condensed milk. Heat until chocolate is melted.
  11. Stir in 4 teaspoons of cherry juice.
  12. Spoon about 1 teaspoon frosting over each cherry, spreading to cover cherry.
  13. Bake at 350u0b0 about 10 minutes.
  14. Remove to wire rack and cool.
