Apple Grunt

  1. Preheat oven to 425*.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar, then beat in egg.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda and baking powder and salt.
  4. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk.
  5. Stir in the apples, pour into 8x8" square pan.
  6. Mix topping ingredients in a small bowl.till crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle over the top of apple mixture.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes.
