Pretzel-Crusted Chicken
- 1 (6.5 oz.) container pretzel twists
- 5 slices bacon, cooked
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 c. beer
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 3 lb. chicken pieces
- Position knife blade in food processor bowl; add pretzels and next 3 ingredients.
- Process until pretzels resemble fine crumbs. Place in a large, heavy-duty, Zip-top plastic bag; set aside. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients in a medium bowl.
- Stir in beer and egg.
- Dip chicken pieces, one at a time, in batter; place in bag of pretzel mixture, shaking to coat.
- Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour or until done. Yield:
- 4 servings.
