Mrs. Harvey'S White Fruit Cake

  1. Chop nuts and fruit into medium size pieces; dredge with 1/4 cup of the flour.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add well beaten eggs; blend well.
  4. Sift remaining flour and baking powder together.
  5. Fold into egg and butter mixture.
  6. Add vanilla and lemon extracts; mix well.
  7. Add fruits and nuts; blend well.
  8. Grease a 10-inch tube pan.
  9. Line with heavy brown paper bag; grease again.
  10. Pour batter into prepared pan. Place in cold oven and bake at 250u0b0 for 3 hours.
  11. Cool in pan on cake rack.
  12. Makes 5 pounds of cake.
