Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Place oats in container of electric blender or food processor; process until finely ground; set aside.
  2. Beat butter in a large bowl at medium speed of an electric mixer; gradually add sugars, beating well.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Combine ground oats, flour, soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
  5. Stir in chocolate morsels, grated chocolate and pecans.
  6. Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake at 375u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly.
  8. Remove to wire rack and cool completely.
  9. Yields 7 dozen.
