Double Chocolate Sand Cookies In A Jar

• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup rolled oats
• 1/2 cup candy covered plain chocolate candies
• 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup crisp rice cereal
• 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. In a 1 quart or 1 liter jar, layer the ingredients inthe order given.
2. Lightly pack down the jar after each addition.
3. Attach a card with the following instructions: 2 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
4. Grease a cookie sheet.
5. Empty the entire contents of the jar into a medium bowl.
6. Add 1 large egg and 1/4 cup of margarine melted; mix well.
7. Form dough into 1 inch balls and bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven.
8. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
