Brownie Bonbons
- 2 (10 oz.) jars maraschino cherries with stems
- cherry liqueur (optional)
- 4 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
- 3/4 c. margarine or butter
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Chocolate Fudge Filling (recipe follows)
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Microwave chocolate and margarine in large microwavable bowl on High 2 minutes or until margarine is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
- Stir granulated sugar into melted chocolate mixture.
- Mix in eggs and vanilla until well blended.
- Stir in flour.
- Fill greased 1 3/4 x 1-inch miniature muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out with fudgy crumbs.
- Do not overbake.
- Cool slightly in muffin pans.
- Loosen edges with tip of knife.
- Make 1/2-inch indentation in top of each brownie.
