Cappuccino Flats

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening, and sugars.
  2. Dissolve coffee in warm water; add to creamed mixture with egg and melted chocolate.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Combine flour, cinnamon and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture (dough will be sticky).
  5. Shape into two 6-1/2-inch rolls; wrap each in plastic wrap.
  6. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm.
  7. Unwrap and cut into 1/4-inch slices.
  8. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  9. Bake at 350 F.
  10. for 10-12 minutes or until firm.
  11. Remove to wire racks to cool.
  12. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips and shortening.
  13. Dip each cookie halfway; shake off excess.
  14. Place on waxed paper to harden.
