Chicken Broccoli And Rice
- 1 c. quick cooking rice
- 1 c. boiling water
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. Cheez Whiz
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 box frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
- 1 chicken, cooked and deboned
- buttered bread crumbs
- Add rice to boiling water; set aside.
- Melt butter and fry onion until soft.
- Add Cheez Whiz to onion and butter to soften. Add soup, milk, salt, pepper, rice and broccoli.
- Mix well.
- Add chicken; mix again.
- Place in 9 x 13-inch casserole.
- Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs.
- Bake at 350u0b0, covered, for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
- This freezes well. Mix ingredients and freeze.
- To use, thaw and add bread crumbs. Bake according to directions.
