Hoagie Sausage Sandwiches

  1. In a large frying pan, saute onions and peppers in a tablespoon of oil until tender.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, spices and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Put sausage in a large baking pan. Stick several times with a fork.
  4. Add about 1/2 inch of water to the bottom of pan.
  5. Bake at 350u0b0 until sausage is done; drain water.
  6. After draining water off of sausage, pour sauce over, then cover with tinfoil and put back in oven.
  7. Cook slowly at about 300u0b0.
  8. The longer it cooks, the better it is, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
