Turkey Creole(Low-Fat)
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1/2 c. toasted bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. Egg Beaters or 2 egg whites
- 1/4 c. quick oats
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp. Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 c. tomato juice
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- Combine first 7 ingredients.
- Shape into patties.
- Place in Teflon skillet.
- Cover; cook on low heat until golden brown on both sides, turning once.
- Add juice, Worcestershire, 1/2 cup water and sugar.
- Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
- Combine cornstarch and water.
- Add to sauce, while stirring, until thick and bubbly. Serve with cooked rice.
- Serves 4.
