Chocolate Cream Dessert
- 3/4 c. cold butter or margarine
- 1 ppkg. chocolate cake mix
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 ppkg. cream cheese (8 oz.), softened
- 1 c. confectioners sugar
- 4 c. whipped topping, divided
- 3 c. cold milk
- 2 ppkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 Tbsp. chocolate curls
- In a bowl, cut butter into cake mix until crumbly.
- Add egg and mix with electric mixer.
- Press into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 in. baking dish.
- Bake at 350u0b0F for 15 - 18 min. or until set.
- Cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese and confectioners sugar until smooth.
- Fold in 1 c. of whipped topping.
- Carefully spread over the crust, refrigerate.
- Whisk milk and pudding for 2 min.; let stand until slightly thickened.
- Spread over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining whipped topping.
- Refrigerate 2 hours before eating.
