Golden Cheesies(Servings: 30)
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 4 c. extra sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- Have butter at room temperature.
- Combine with sour cream in mixer; add flour, 1 cup at a time.
- Mix well.
- Divide mixture into 4 equal parts.
- Wrap each chunk with waxed paper and refrigerate until firm.
- Roll out one chunk at a time on floured board to 15 x 6-inch rectangle.
- Salt and pepper and sprinkle with 1 cup of cheese.
- Roll rectangle into 15-inch roll and seal ends and pull edge along top.
- Sprinkle with paprika.
- Place on foil or Saran Wrap to refrigerate or freeze until use.
- Can go from freezer to cookie sheet to oven.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes, until bubbly and brown.
- Slice in 1/2-inch pieces.
