Crowd Pleaser Casserole
- 1 (20 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli flowerets
- 1 (20 oz.) pkg. frozen cauliflower flowerets
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 c. milk
- 6 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese (1 1/2 c.)
- 1 c. Parmesan cheese, shredded or grated
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. chopped ham
- 3 c. fresh bread crumbs
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- Cook broccoli and cauliflower in slightly salted water.
- Cook until slightly underdone.
- Drain; set aside.
- Melt 4 tablespoons butter in 1-quart saucepan; add flour.
- Blend well.
- Add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Add Cheddar, Parmesan and salt.
- Stir over low heat until cheese melts.
- Place vegetables in an ungreased 4-quart casserole.
- Sprinkle with chopped ham.
- Pour cheese sauce mixture over ham.
- Toss bread crumbs with the melted butter.
- Make a border of buttered bread crumbs around edge of casserole.
- Bake uncovered at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
