Cookies And Cream Ice Cream
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand milk
- 1 qt. half and half
- 1 pt. whipping cream
- 1 (20 oz.) pkg. Oreo cookies, crushed
- milk
- Beat
- eggs
- until
- thick.
- Add
- sugar and beat about 15 minutes until creamy.
- Add the Eagle Brand milk, half and half and the
- whipping
- cream.
- Fold in the crushed cookies or you may wait and
- add
- the cookies after the ice cream has set for better texture.
- If
- added
- before
- freezing, the cookies dissolve and make a chocolate looking ice cream (tastes the same, but doesn't look
- as
- good).
- Pour
- mix
- into
- the
- ice cream freezer and finish
- filling
- the
- container
- with milk.
- Make according to the
- directions
- on
- freezer.
- When set turn out into large container;
- add cookies and let freeze for about 1 hour.
- Makes 1 1/2 gallons.
