Crock-Pot Savory Pepper Steak
- 2 lb. beef round steak
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 small clove garlic, minced
- 2 large green peppers, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch strips
- 1 can (16 oz.) whole tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. beef flavor base (granules)
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Cut steak into strips.
- Combine flour, salt and pepper.
- Toss with steak strips to coat.
- Add to crock-pot with onion, garlic and 1/2 the pepper strips; stir.
- Combine tomatoes with beef base, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour into crock-pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
- One hour before serving, turn to high and stir in the rest of the bell peppers.
- Serve over hot rice.
- Serves 4. Makes about 2 quarts.
