Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage

  1. Lock bowl in position and insert steel blade.
  2. Chop onion at low speed.
  3. Melt margarine or butter in a Dutch oven and saute onion over medium heat until tender.
  4. Meanwhile, insert slicer disc and process cabbage at high speed.
  5. Add cabbage to onion and toss to coat evenly with margarine or butter.
  6. Cover and cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
  7. Insert shredder disc and place apples in chute.
  8. Process to shred at low speed.
  9. Mix apples, salt, brown sugar, vinegar and pepper into other items in Dutch oven.
  10. Cover and cook 20 to 25 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
  11. Makes 6 servings.
