Grandma Church'S Wonderful Fudge

  1. Stir together in a large heavy pot or Dutch oven, over moderate heat, the butter, canned milk and sugar.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Cover. Boil 5 minutes and turn off heat.
  4. Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
  5. Add the chocolate, one kind at a time, stirring as it melts.
  6. Add vanilla and nuts.
  7. Blend.
  8. Pour into a buttered 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan and smooth evenly. Let stand until firm, then cut into 1-inch squares.
