Apple And Pecan Turnover
- 1 frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed (1/2 of 17.3oz package)
- 1/2 cup philadelphia cream cheese spread
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 granny smith apple, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/3 cup pecan pieces, toasted
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0F Roll out pastry on lightly floured surface ot 14-inch square; cut in 9 equal squares.
- Mix cream cheese spread and sugar in medium bowl until well blended. Add apples and pecans; mix well.
- Spoon evenly onto centers of pastry squares,. Brush edges of pastry with eggs. Fold each square diagonally in half to form triangle; press edges firmlly together until completely sealed. Brush tops with remaining egg.
- Bake 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 375u0b0F Continue baking 10 minutes or until turnovers are slightly p-uffed and golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
