Oriental Salad

  1. Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Dice bacon and fry crisp.
  3. Remove bacon from pan and lightly brown almonds in the bacon fat.
  4. Drain on paper towels; blot excess fat away.
  5. Combine sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, paprika, celery seed, honey, onion, mustard and salt in saucepan.
  6. Heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring constantly.
  7. Cool slightly and pour into a jar with tight lid.
  8. Add oil and shake well.
  9. Combine lettuce, oranges, bacon and almonds in serving bowl.
  10. Pour warm dressing over salad just before serving.
