Doubly Delicious Chocolate Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Melt over hot water (not boiling), 1 1/2 cups chocolate morsels; cool to room temperature.
  3. In small bowl, combine the butter, sugar and vanilla extract.
  4. Beat until creamy.
  5. Add melted morsels and eggs; beat until light and fluffy. Gradually blend in flour mixture.
  6. Stir in remaining 2 1/2 cups chocolate morsels and nuts.
  7. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Makes 3 1/2 dozen (2 1/2-inch) cookies.
  10. Allow to stand 2 to 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheets.
