Beef And Potato Casserole
- 4 large potatoes
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 sweet pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- salt to taste
- dash of pepper
- 2 tsp. wine vinegar
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1 bay leaf
- dash of paprika
- dash of nutmeg
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shredded cheese
- 2 lb. butter
- Place ground beef and vegetables in large skillet; brown and drain.
- Add spices and place in 2 1/2-quart casserole dish. Meanwhile, prepare and cook potatoes.
- Mash and whip potatoes. Add milk and butter and spoon on top of casserole in a decorative manner.
- Sprinkle top with cheese.
- Bake uncovered at 400u0b0 until top browns slightly.
