Creamed Green Beans

  1. In a small saucepan melt 1 tablespoon butter.
  2. Stir in cornflakes and set aside.
  3. Melt remaining butter in a large saucepan.
  4. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, onion and sugar.
  5. Heat and stir until bubbly.
  6. Reduce heat and add sour cream.
  7. Stir until smooth.
  8. Cook and stir over low heat for 2 minutes (do not boil). Fold in the beans; spread into a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle cheese evenly over top.
  9. Sprinkle with cornflakes mixture.
  10. Bake, uncovered, at 400u0b0 for 20 minutes or until heated through.
  11. Yield:
  12. 6 to 8 servings.
