Congealed Fruit Jello Salad
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime jello
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 can fruit cocktail, drained
- 1 c. small marshmallows
- 1/2 to 1 c. pecans
- 1/2 c. cold water
- Mix jello, cream cheese and mayonnaise together.
- Put hot water over this; mix well, then put the juice of a can of cocktail, plus enough cold water to make 1 cup.
- Mix all this together.
- Put this in an 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 5-inch container. Place in refrigerator 1/2 to 3/4 hour, or until it begins to set up.
- Take out of refrigerator.
- Mix the fruit cocktail, marshmallows and nuts with the other mixture.
- Replace container in refrigerator until it "sets up."
- This makes enough to serve 6 to 8 people.
