Heavenly Onion Casserole

  1. In large skillet, melt butter over low heat.
  2. Saute onions and mushrooms until tender.
  3. Put this in 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  4. Combine soup, milk and soy sauce.
  5. Pour this over cheese mixture.
  6. Top with bread and cheese slices.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Bake in 375u0b0 oven, loosely covered, for 30 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake 15 to 20 minutes more.
  10. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
  11. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
