Crescent Chicken Squares
- 3 oz. softened cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, softened
- 2 c. cooked chicken*
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. chopped chives or onions
- 1 Tbsp. chopped pimento
- 1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls
- 1 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 3/4 c. seasoned crushed croutons
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Blend cream cheese and margarine.
- Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk, chives and pimento.
- Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles; seal perforations.
- Spoon 1/2 cup mixture onto center of each rectangle.
- Pull 4 corners of dough up to center of mixture and seal.
- Brush tops with melted margarine; dip in crushed croutons.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Refrigerate leftovers.
