Hot And Sour Soup

  1. Slice pork in thin, bite-size pieces.
  2. Cook in 3-quart saucepan in hot oil until brown.
  3. Remove pork and set aside.
  4. In same pan, bring chicken broth to a boil.
  5. Add pork, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and mushrooms.
  6. Simmer 5 minutes.
  7. Add vinegar, soy sauce and pepper.
  8. Blend cornstarch in cold water.
  9. Stir into soup, stirring until slightly thickened.
  10. Continue stirring and add egg.
  11. Garnish with onions and serve.
