7-Pound Christmas Fudge

  1. In a large mixing bowl of heavy-duty electric mixer, combine broken chocolate bars, chocolate bits and marshmallow cream; set aside.
  2. In large heavy saucepan combine sugar, milk and butter. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils; boil 5 minutes.
  3. Pour hot mixture over chocolate mixture.
  4. Beat until ingredients are thoroughly blended.
  5. Beat in vanilla, remove beater and stir in chopped nuts. Quickly pour mixture into 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
  6. Cool.
  7. Cover tightly and refrigerate until firm enough to cut into small squares.
  8. Flavor will be best after 1 or 2 weeks storage.
  9. Makes about 7 pounds fudge.
