Chocolate Bubble Biscuits
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. sugar, divided
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. butter, divided
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- In
- large
- bowl,
- combine
- flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Using pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in 1/3 cup butter
- until
- mixture
- resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in chocolate morsels.
- Add milk.
- Stir until dough holds a shape. On floured
- board,
- knead
- dough lightly.
- Roll dough into 16 balls. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- In small saucepan, melt remaining 1/3
- cup butter.
- Pour
- 1/2 of melted butter in an 8-inch square
- baking pan.
- In
- cup, combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar and
- cinnamon.
